Netherby Hall, last year’s winner of the ‘Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year’ award, has been shortlisted once again for 2025. The recognition reflects the continued excellence of the historic estate, which offers nine luxury self-catering apartments and cottages set within 36 acres of private parkland and gardens. Guests can also enjoy experience-led stays, from horse-drawn carriage rides to garden masterclasses.
Guests frequently praise Netherby Hall for its seamless blend of historic charm and modern comfort. One recent visitor shared, “It was like living in an old prestigious manor house but with all the comforts of modern life”. Another highlighted the “spotlessly clean and very cosy” accommodation and the “helpful and friendly” staff.
Pentonbridge Inn is celebrating its first-ever shortlisting in the highly competitive ‘Taste of Cumbria’ category. Located just a few miles from Netherby Hall, the Michelin-starred restaurant has gained national acclaim for its seasonal eight-course set tasting menu, crafted using ingredients grown in the estate’s walled garden.
