Using the wide range of marketing services provided by 32West has helped Netherby Hall increase bookings for its self-catering cottages and apartments by 45%. The team developed and delivered a multi-touch, targeted strategy designed to ensure Netherby Hall reached the right audiences and hit the key objectives of increasing overnight stays and direct bookings.

To achieve these goals, 32West was instructed to implement PR and communications strategies to generate regional and national interest, social media management to create impactful posts, creative design to make its material stand out in a competitive market, regular newsletters, media buying to reach target audiences and data-driven SEO campaigns to book the venue’s Google rankings.

Implementing a targeted awards strategy also reaped rewards with Netherby Hall named Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year in the prestigious Cumbria Tourism Awards for two consecutive years.

Netherby Hall’s Director of Operations, Kim Capstick, said: “We’ve been working with 32West for years and they’ve been absolutely outstanding. Their team handles every aspect of our marketing with professionalism, creativity and genuine enthusiasm and they consistently deliver results that exceed expectations. We couldn’t ask for a better partner – 32West are a vital part of our success and we highly recommend them.”

Link clicks from social media platforms rose by more than 100%, leading to a 37% growth in participants – the highest number for nine years. With increased participants, a record fundraising total was raised for local charities.

The organisers of the annual Keswick to Barrow Walk reached out to 32West as they wanted to refresh the event’s digital presence to boost its awareness and increase participants. The reach on Facebook was up by 141.8% and increased by 504.8% on Instagram, with link clicks up by 105.7% on Facebook and 100% up on Instagram. As a result, there were 1,900 participants in the 2025 Walk – up from 1,387 in 2024 – and a record-breaking total of £605,550 was raised for local charities and causes, up from £530,000 on the previous year.

Roy Barnes, the chairman of the Keswick to Barrow committee, said: “The team was absolutely bowled over with the wider exposure and the fantastic results it brought. In fact, working with 32West was so successful that we had to scale our marketing back for 2026 to ensure we can cater for such high participant numbers.”

An increase in website traffic of 161% on average per month, with a spike of 937% in one month, comparable to the previous year. This helped new client acquisition increase by 32%.

In the first 12 months of 32West managing their PR, Saint & Co Chartered Accountants experienced sharp increases in their website traffic and new clients as wider awareness brought them wider attention. The average monthly website visits in the previous year were 1,659 which increased to 4,337 in the first 12 months of PR. The extra awareness helped acquire 600 new clients that year, compared to 452 the previous year.

Lindsay Farrer, a Partner at Saint & Co, said: “The increase in visitors to our website and new clients was staggering, and we attribute the success down to working with the team at 32West. Our profile across our main geographies was raised considerably, and we attribute the business growth to the PR as we hadn’t done anything else differently during that time period.”
