A FIVE-STAR campsite near Edinburgh has been named the best in Scotland for the second year running at the Scottish Hospitality Awards.
Drummohr Camping and Glamping Site at Musselburgh picked up the Camping Site of the Year award at a black-tie event in Glasgow on June 17.
Businesses from across Scotland were shortlisted in the ninth annual Scottish Hospitality Awards, which celebrate excellence in Scotland’s hospitality industry.

Angie Purves, site manager at Drummohr, said: “Winning this award for a second year is a fantastic achievement for the whole team and something we’re incredibly proud of.
“We work hard to create a welcoming, high-quality experience for our guests while supporting the local tourism community, so it’s brilliant to see that recognised at a national level.”
Drummohr was also a finalist in the Hospitality Champion of the Year category at the awards.
This latest success for Drummohr follows the site being named the UK’s most dog-friendly campsite at the 2025 DogFriendly Awards in November, alongside its sister sites Herding Hill Camping and Glamping Site in Northumberland and Longnor Wood Holiday Park in the Peak District.
In 2024, it won two national awards, being voted Campsite of the Year in the Camping Awards and named Best in Scotland by online travel agent Pitchup.com.
Set on the shores of the Firth of Forth, Drummohr is a five-star AA and VisitScotland rated site offering self-catering luxury lodges with hot tubs, glamping pods and en-suite bothies, as well as grass and hard-standing pitches for touring and tents, all with electric.
The family-friendly site has themed wizard, adventure and fairy glamping pods, as well as family bothies and a large playground.
Drummohr is also dog-friendly, with its own scenic dog walk, a dog wash, and pet-friendly accommodation. Up to two dogs are welcome on its tent and touring pitches free of charge. Its amenity blocks have underfloor heating, free no-push hot showers, family-friendly accessible bathrooms with baths, and heated indoor campers’ kitchen and laundry area.
Open all year round, Drummohr has excellent public transport links by bus and train into Edinburgh, which is 10 miles away, and is close to the John Muir Way and the beaches and golf courses of East Lothian.
Drummohr is part of the WCF employee-owned family of businesses, which operates across the UK in the leisure, retail and logistics sectors. The site is one of three camping and glamping businesses operated by WCF, alongside Longnor Wood and Herding Hill Farm.
