High standard of homes in Cumbrian village recognised with prestigious award

THE professionalism and high level of workmanship carried out at a Cumbrian housing development has been rewarded.

Robbie Maxwell was named the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Warranty Site Manager of the Year for the North East and Cumbria region for his work on the recently launched Wakefield Gardens development in the village of Lazonby.

Robbie is heading up the team during the construction of 59 homes on behalf of Penrith-based housing developer Genesis Homes.

Robbie Maxwell was named LABC Warranty Site Manager of the Year for the North East and Cumbria.

The LABC awards celebrate the pivotal role site managers play in the success of developments, and finalists are assessed on a number of criteria including general co-operation, health and safety, tidiness of the site, standards of site management and quality of workmanship.

Robbie said: “The team at Genesis Homes prides itself on building high quality homes for our customers, and it’s nice for the team and I to get such prestigious recognition like this for our hard work.

“This award is for all those people involved in the Wakefield Gardens development who go above and beyond to ensure the highest standards are reached.

“It’s a great feeling to be named site manager of the year across the whole of the North East and Cumbria, and I’m really pleased to achieve this recognition for Genesis Homes.

“Lazonby is a beautiful little village which is well served by a local pub, shop and outdoor swimming pool, and we’re delighted to be able to provide homes in such a desirable location, giving homeowners the most stunning views of the Pennines from the development.”
