PR, Communications and Marketing Agency expands team and office bases

PR and Communications firm 32West is expanding its team and office bases to service its growing client base.

The integrated agency, which operates across the North of England and southern Scotland, has opened a new office and took on a new content creator.

The firm has opened an office in Cleator Moor, Cumbria, and has strengthened its team with the recruitment of Emily Adair, who previously worked in communications at the former Copeland Borough Council.

The new office, in Phase 3 of the Phoenix Enterprise Centre in Cleator Moor, brings the number of 32West operating bases – which also include Carlisle, Newcastle, Ulverston and Liverpool – to five.

32West’s client base in West Cumbria is growing with a diverse range of businesses and organisations in the nuclear, engineering, robotics and emerging technologies sectors.

Director James Higgins said: “As a business, we are not sector specific; we tell the stories of ambitious companies and organisations large and small from solicitors to accountants and luxury hotels to national retail chains.

“We do have a growing nucleus of clients in West Cumbria, however, with many of them operating in the Sellafield supply chain.

“As our business continues to expand in this area, and following two recent successes in competitive tender processes, we felt the time was right to increase our ongoing commitment to the area and to the local community.

“Emily’s arrival further increases our capability in the region. Emily is an experienced communications professional who has both public and private sector experience and has just returned to Cumbria after a period working in a PR agency in Melbourne, Australia.

“This is a very exciting period for us as the business continues to expand with new clients, colleagues and offices.”

32West was this year named as one of PR Week’s Top 100 agencies outside of London and among the Top 25 agencies operating in the public sector.

The privately owned business – which is an accredited member of the UK Real Living Wage Foundation – celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2023.
